These terms apply to every order placed on internationalpermitdoc.com (the “site”), which is operated by INTERNATIONAL PERMIT AUTHORITY LLC (“we”, “us”). By placing an order you agree to them.

1. What we sell

The International Driving Document is a private translation of your national driving licence into several languages. It is not an International Driving Permit (IDP) under the 1949 Geneva or 1968 Vienna conventions, it is not issued by any government, and it does not give you the right to drive. It is valid only together with your original, valid licence.

Whether a translation is accepted is decided by local authorities, police and rental companies, not by us. We publish country guides to help you check requirements, but you are responsible for confirming what your destination requires.

2. Eligibility

• You must be 18 or older and hold a valid, full driving licence.
• You must provide true, complete information and images of your own licence.
• We may refuse or cancel an order if we can’t verify the application, with a full refund.

3. Orders, prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and include all fees except optional express shipping. Payment is taken by our payment processor at checkout. Your contract with us starts when we email your order confirmation.

4. Processing and delivery

We review each application before issuing the document. Digital documents are emailed within 24 hours of approval. Printed booklets ship as described in our shipping policy. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.

5. Validity

The document is valid for the period you choose (1, 2 or 3 years) and never beyond the expiry date of your licence. It becomes invalid if your licence is suspended, revoked or expires.

6. Corrections and refunds

If the document contains an error we made, we correct and reissue it free. Refunds are handled under our refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Your responsibilities

• Carry your original licence whenever you drive; the document is not a substitute for it.
• Follow local traffic laws and check entry and driving requirements before travelling.
• Don’t alter the document or present it as a government-issued permit.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for fines, refused rentals, travel costs or other losses caused by a third party’s decision not to accept the document. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE OF REGISTRATION], USA, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
